The Rolando Toro School of Biodanza
This school is founded and now Co–Directed by Yoni Vogelius, Guy Barrington & Merijn Oudheusden.
Our Biodanza School is Residential. This is unique in Holland and provides an opportunity to develop a sense of Community Life within the Biodanzacontext.
This training is much more than learning a dance form and the theory and methodology behind it, it is about learning deeply about yourself and about your connections with others, it is a School of Life. The setting of the School provides a context in which we have to share space; dance space, sleeping space, living space. During the weekends we make the building and the natural surrounding forest our Home to learn, grow and Be in. The house where we dance and stay is called " The Arie Groenevelt huis" and is located at the recreation area the Woensberg in Huizen,Woensbergweg 5.
The Biodanza School weekends take place in the fourth weekend of the month, (with one exception). The Training lasts 3 years with nine weekends in the first year. In addition there are two extra seminars weekends which will be included in the second and third years. You will receive information on these weekends during the training. You will be required to write a Resume after each weekend, and at the end of the training, after completing 8 Supervision classes, will need to write and present a Monography.
In total there are 29 weekends. The dates and themes for the first year are below (It is our preference to begin with the weekend on Vivencia, although this is numbered (3) in the Biodanza Curriculum)
During the first year Yoni Vogelius will teach 2 weekends, the rest will be shared by Merijn Oudheusden & Guy Barrington and other guest Teachers.

The School begins on Friday
evening where we bring food to share, followed by an Integrating vivencia. (The
rest of the meals are provided from Saturday morning)
The Friday evening helps Students “arrive” and be fresh and ready to receive the
Theory on Saturday morning. The weekend finishes on Sunday at about 6.30pm.
The accommodation and food costs are 80 euro per
weekend and the Biodanza Training is 150 euros (230euros for School Members, 240
euros for non Members)
At the beginning of each School year from
September onwards there is a registration fee of 50 euro to join as a Member of
The School. It is possible to come into the School at any stage for the whole
first year to “try” the School out, but the charge for each weekend will then be
240 Euros for non members.
